The Fordson E83W, also later sold under the Thames brand, is a 10cwt light commercial vehicle, built by Ford at the Dagenham factory between 1938-1957. The E83W was aimed at the small haulage, trade and merchant market, sectors where the van sold well. Many specialist variations such as mobile canteen, ice cream vans and fire pumps. Powered by the 1172cc Ford 10hp side-valve engine, with a 3- speed gearbox.
First registered in June 1955 this Thames Van has since been comprehensively restored, sporting the John Deere colours of yellow and green. The Ford van is in full working order and starts on the button. A great opportunity to acquire a ready to go light commercial vehicle, which can be used for business or pleasure.
